About Simbi:
For 12 years, I taught middle grades English in Georgia, Maryland, and Ohio. However, in June 2021, I broke my silence by publishing a memoir, The Power of Healing: A Memoir of Loss & Victory, which documents my struggles with pregnancy loss, my journey to motherhood, my healing process, and how I turned her pain into power.
In February 2022, I founded my nonprofit organization, United By Loss Foundation, Inc., and recently became a certified birth and bereavement doula. I am passionate about helping mothers and birth givers in Georgia, by providing grief support, access to vital resources, and advocacy. I am passionate about helping mothers and birth givers on their journey to healing.
